Operational technologies, which are directly interrelated with R&D, innovation and technology, are the total sum of hardware and software components that help to manage, control and monitor physical devices including HVAC equipment at data centers, monitoring mechanisms at nuclear plants and robotics at manufacturing plants along with their relevant functions and processes.
Continuity and security are extremely important for operational technologies which constitute a significant and joint part of critical infrastructure systems. Operational technologies ensure protection of IT infrastructure of corporations against cyber-attacks. Meanwhile, data protection, transfer and storage infrastructures are increasingly digitalized. Operational technologies take part in digitalization processes thanks to their role in the control of physical world.
Operational technologies are used for supporting critical structures in a wide range of fields and become increasingly more critical for almost all applications in our rapidly evolving and changing world. Operational technologies will continue to develop in order to connect us to the future both in Türkiye and the world.
